Note: there is no "series" of communications. Basically, there are simply 5 different versions of this one document. This version has been altered by hand. The negative photostat possessed by the Peace Palace at the Hague reads "Fensterlä". In this version the "ä" has been altered to "e umlaut", which does not exist in German, but presumably still means "window" ("le" being a dialectical diminutive).  The correct translation should probably be Fensterläden", "shutters". The letters "den" have been inserted between the lines and are almost invisible. See also Graphics of Document 501-PS ("Gas Vans") among the main articles. See also J.M. Beard on the Gas Vans and Cremations.
We will post all these different versions as we obtain them.
